Parisian apartment vs. my home..

My thoughts today took me back to the early fall of last year....my trip to Europe!  As I spent the day cleaning, my memory wondered back to the wonderful Parisain apartment buildings that I imagined were furnished with beautiful old treasures from generations past.  Lush rugs and heavy drapery.  Solid tables and dainty chairs.  Knick-Knacks carefully placed in arched built-ins.  Wine cellars lined with dusty bottles of Merlot.  I vacummed my imported rug that is mostly hidden by a large leather ottoman, I polished my black Normandy style dinning table and chairs, I dusted my Tiffany silver frames and re-organized my wine collection at the bottom of my pantry.  I was in my own little Paris...

I posted a few photo's from that trip....oh thank goodness for digital technology!  I was clicking my camera at every beautiful apartment building I saw!  So many photo's taken, yet I still wish I would have taken more!  Paris is filled with beautiful things.  It was there that I caught the little creative bug again!

My inspirations..

A year and a half ago I lost my corporate job due to the crumbling building industry and began a whirlwind journey trekking about wherever life took me.  It was great.

This year I've started to feel the bugs again....the creative bug, the entrepreneurial bug.  I've decided I shall not go back to corporate america, I shall not work for anyone but myself again!  Though I'm not ready to start something up again just yet, I do have some new idea's and I hope through a creative outlet of blogging I will conjure up the will to set something in motion...eventually!

I have lots to share with you.  I once owned a little boutique filled with one of a kind boubles french inspired antiques and whatnots....a compilation of things i love....I still have much of it here and there.  I want to rediscover it, round it up and enjoy it once more.  I have collected some wonderful wines from my travels through the Pacific Northwest and down to Napa and Sonoma Counties...even Colorado!  I used to cook a great deal...making everything from fresh ingredience, dare I say gourmet?  I want to start where I left off, I want to incorporate organic and take advantage of the organic farm just down the road.  I have many treasures from my travels and from years gone by, I want to create, refurbish and display them...

I invite you to follow my new journey, be inspired with me..
